Seacoast fencers, the Thanksgiving schedule calls for a short week. We will be open on Sunday, Nov 19 (Rochester) & Monday, Nov 20 (Manchester), and Tuesday (Nov 21) but will be closed the day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 22, and the Saturday after, November 25. We will reopen with the regular schedule the following week on Monday in Manchester (11/27), and Tuesday (11/28) in Rochester. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
Seacoast Team Meet #1 is being moved one day earlier, to Saturday, November 4. Y10, Y12, Y14 and Unclassified Foil will all start at 12:00 noon, and should be over by 3:30 pm. Sign ups for the Epee and Saber are low right now, but if we get at least six fencers, those events will start at 3:30 pm.
If you have not signed up for this meet, please do so as soon as possible. The link is below: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iH32SgKa9pigxthRo73NjtMPmIeUIh1K3bimcToevQs/edit#gid=0
We have Seacoast Team Meet #1 coming up on Sunday, November 5 at 271 Wilson St in Manchester. We will be holding four mixed foil team events: Y10, Y12, Y14, and Unclassified. These events will be collegiate format, with three to four person teams. I will make up the teams on the day of the event. You will fence every member of the opposing team, but not your teammates. However, if there are only two teams, we will have an individual event as well, so everyone will get enough bouts.
All close of registration for the above events is 10:00 am. You should plan to arrive in Manchester between 9:15 and 9:30 am, so you have sufficient time to change, do some laps, stretch, and get in a few warm up bouts.
We also have open mixed foil epee, and saber teams (rated and unrated together). The entries in these events will choose the format- collegiate or FIE. These events will start at 1:30 pm (be there by 1:00 pm).
Register by Wednesday, November 1, on the google spreadsheet link below: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iH32SgKa9pigxthRo73NjtMPmIeUIh1K3bimcToevQs/edit#gid=0
Entry fee will be $15 for all events, plus $5 for any event with directors. You pay at the door, check or cash (no credit cards). I will have directors for the Y10, and hopefully for the Y12 as well. You can enter a maximum of two events if you wish.
Electric weapons and lames will be available ($10 for one item, $15 for both).
If you are a rated foil fencer, please come in to direct the Y10 & Y12 events, and help out with the Y14 & Unclassified.
I emailed the proposed Northeast Division (Maine and New Hampshire) competition schedule for the upcoming season to all Seacoast fencers and parents. Please check your email and bring a copy of the attachment to the 7:00 pm parent’s meeting in each club (Manchester on Wednesday 9/6, and Rochester on 9/7). I will answer any questions you may have about competitions, and the schedule. Parents, I would like to have your child bring it to the Saturday (9/9) meeting in Manchester, and the Tuesday (9/12) meeting in Rochester, so I can go over it with them as well.
We are starting a new season in September! The schedule and prices are below. I hope to see all of you at the first meetings in each club. Manchester will open on Wednesday, September 6. Rochester will open on Thursday, September 7.
Both clubs will have a parents meeting at 7:00 on their first day. Please bring payment, and be ready to take notes on the upcoming competitions for your child. Also, my private lesson schedule will be set at that time. Please be there!
Fencers will have their orientation and a discussion on upcoming competitions on Saturday, September 9 for Manchester fencers, and on Tuesday, September 12 for Rochester fencers.

Rochester fencers can also come to the Manchester club on Saturdays if you want to pick up an extra day of fencing (with new people). No extra charge, as all Seacoast fencers can train in either or both clubs, any time you want (OK, only when we are open).
As usual, we are happy to stay an extra half hour if fencers want more time on the strip!
Tuition for the three month Fall term (September, October, and November)
Advanced Class $95 (a great way to learn more offensive and defensive techniques for newer and younger fencers).
Please bring cash or a check (payable to Seacoast Fencing Club) to the first meeting. I do not have credit, debit, paypal, or bitcoin capability.
