The noon news at WMUR has a weather advisory for Rochester, with 4 to 8 inches of snow, heaviest from 6:00 pm thru 9:00 pm…. all during our normal hours! So no classes or training tonight, Tuesday February 10.

The biggest storm in the past three years is not over. As of 12;30 pm, we are getting the second storm which WMUR is saying will continue until 7:00 pm to as late as 9:00 pm tonight. I am sure this will not be a surprise- the Manchester club will be closed tonight, Monday, January 26.
For those taking the beginning and intermediate classes, we will extend the classes one week beyond what was planned. You will all get the nine classes.
So, stay home, stay warm, and stay safe.

| This morning’s WMUR weather forecast is heavy snow starting at 12:00 noon tomorrow, which means, at best, at the end of pools, fencers, referees, and meet managers would driving through snow accumulating at as much as 4 inches an hour. The fencers from New England would be driving up to Rochester with the snow already at full force. Plus, we are dealing with mother nature, and the snow could start earlier. I am cancelling the Unrated Meet on Sunday Jan 25. But thank you for signing up for the tournament. I plan to reschedule another unrated meet sometime later this season. |

Ignore my earlier email & posting about the beginning and intermediate classes for Monday, January 19 being cancelled. Eamon and I are both sick, but Eamon’s mother and sister will be holding the beginning and intermediate classes tonight .

Well, it’s a new year, but the weather continues to pick on Tuesdays. We have another storm tonight, with WMUR predicting freezing rain after the snow this evening. So no fencing tonight in our Rochester club. Stay home, stay warm, and stay safe.
